Introducing successful Fund for Good recipient, Aaron Richardson. Aaron is a talented and generous person, extremely knowledgeable in the world of arts including film, tv, stage, visual art and voice.

Aaron suffers from diabetic retinopathy with fluctuating levels of blindness (almost total blindness with occasional patches of blurry vision) and diabetic nephropathy (chronic kidney disease) that causes daily discomfort and loss of vision which fluctuates daily causing pain. His disability and illness cause severe fatigue, disorientation and immobility.

Despite this, Aaron strives to carry on, share and participate in things he has learnt in the field of arts. He has formed a group T.A.G (The Arts Group) to teach people with intellectual and other forms of disability about the world of Arts.

Check out some awesome photos of this below:

Aaron and the art group

Aaron’s group is growing in numbers each day and empowering members to prosper, learn and be social. T.A.G also empowers Aaron, by using his past knowledge to give him a sense of worth and accomplishment.

Aaron says: “I want others to know that having a disability does not stop you from doing what you love.”

To expand his group and approach other groups and individuals, Aaron requires funding for more equipment.

With the help of Fund for Good, Aaron has been able to purchase equipment and technology to help continue his group and teach people with all forms of disability all about the wonderful world of arts.

A big congratulations to Aaron, one of our successful Fund for Good recipients. Fund for Good is an innovation program helping to fund special projects and dreams of Manawanui customers which can’t be funded elsewhere.

Aaron is spreading amazing arts knowledge as well as positivity and we can’t wait to update you all with the progress of his wonderful arts group – T.A.G.
