Introducing Braxton! Braxton lives with his Mum, Nicole and 2 siblings who love to go on family bikes rides.
Braxton has ADHD and a bladder and bowel disability, which means he can only walk or bike for around 5-10 minutes before he gets too tired and sore. His muscles are very weak, and this makes him frustrated that he can’t properly join in.
Being able to partake in regular light exercise would help build Braxton’s confidence. As he is growing up, his disability has impacted his ability to fit in around others and has lowered his self-esteem.
With the help of Fund for Good, Braxton got his very own electric bike! So now he can travel further without getting exhausted so easily and build both physical and mental strength. It also means he can keep up with others – thus feeling more involved.
We are so happy to be able to help Braxton join in and be able to fully enjoy family bike rides.
A big congratulations to Braxton, one of our successful Fund for Good recipients. Fund for Good is an innovation program helping to fund special projects and dreams of Manawanui customers which can’t be funded elsewhere.
We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Braxton and hear about the awesome adventures that he and his family will have together.
