Manawanui’s Fund for Good is an innovation programme which awards grants to help fund big ideas that cannot be funded through Individualised Funding or other funding sources.
It’s all about self-direction and one of the ways that Manawanui, as a social enterprise, reinvests profits into initiatives that give customers choice and control about how they live.
We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who applied for the 2023 round of Fund for Good – the judging panel had a very tough time deciding the winners.
Meet our 2023 winners!
Dikina Poludore – lessons to help her to achieve her driver’s license.
Max Bennet – equipment to set up his own music studio at home.
Nathan Pearson – equipment to set up his own photography business including computer software and wheelchair camera mounts.
Spencer and Harvey Jeffersons – ebikes so the brothers can participate in family activities.
Aaron Richardson – theatre equipment (such as lighting and sound gear) for his own art and theatre group with other disabled people.

A massive congratulations to all the winners! So many inspiring ideas and dreams. We look forward to catching up with them in the future as they use their funding to achieve their goals and improve their independence 🌟🌟
